What are your songs about? (What specific themes do they cover?)

Double Minded is about people living double lives. The Chance To Tell You talks about looking for an opportunity and platform to share your talents and express yourself. One Day At A Time talks about taking life day by day – especially when dealing with crisis. I Love Hip Hop is just me paying homage to hip – hop music.

How long have you been performing live or making art?

Off and on for 33 years.

What do you think your “biggest break” or “greatest opportunity” has been so far in your musical career?

Performing and being interviewed at a church in Cleveland, OH for a program on the Word Network.

If you had to categorize your music, what genre would it best fit? (Name up to three)

Rap, and Gospel Rap.

What do you feel distinguishes “an artist” from just a musician?

Writing vs. playing.

Where did you meet your group and how long have you been together now?

I started out with a group of friends that I grew up with in the Bronx, N.Y. I was with them for four years before I went solo.

What are your immediate music career goals? (Next 1 to 3 years.) Performing and recording.

How much creative control do you have over your own music? All of it.

What has been the biggest challenge for you or the group? Getting airplay.

You’ve heard of the term “starving artists” before, how do you cope with major obstacles? Prayer and networking.
